Plumbing work in Cork - and across Ireland - is charged at 13.5% VAT. That covers your labour and the materials you fit as part of the same job, unless the materials cost more than two-thirds of the price, when the whole job goes to 23%. Supplying and fitting a heat pump heating system is 9%. If your turnover for services stays below €42,500 in a calendar year, you do not have to register for VAT.
