VAT for electricians
In Ireland, electrical installation and repair on buildings is 13.5% VAT, including the parts you fit - but an equipment-heavy job like an EV charger can cross the two-thirds line and go to 23%. In the UK most electrical work is 20%, including EV chargers; solar panels and battery storage in homes are 0% until 31 March 2027.
