VAT note
Plumbing work on a building in Ireland is charged at 13.5% VAT - your labour and the materials you fit as part of the job, unless the materials cost more than two-thirds of the price (VAT excluded), when the whole job goes to 23%. Supplying and fitting a heat pump heating system is 9%. Parts sold without fitting are 23%. You only have to register for VAT once your turnover for services goes over €42,500 in a calendar year. Not VAT-registered? You do not charge VAT at all - untick "I'm VAT registered" above and the VAT column and VAT number drop off the document.
