Tiling work in the UK - floors, walls and wet rooms, at homes or businesses - is charged at the standard 20% VAT rate. There is no general reduced rate for domestic tiling. The exceptions are narrow: adapting a bathroom for a disabled customer can be 0% if they give you a signed eligibility declaration. If your turnover is below £90,000, you do not have to register for VAT.
